Ben Middleton (he/him)

About me

I have been counselling since 2012 and set up my private practice in 2016. I have training and experience in a range of therapeutic approaches, integrated around the relationship between client and therapist. What this means in practice is that the way I work will depend upon you, on what you want to look at and how we work best together.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Therapy. I am an insured and registered member of BACP and abide by their Ethical Framework.  I have had training and extensive experience in both short and longer term work with trauma. I provide substance misuse counselling in Brighton working with a group of other therapists (Sussex Alcohol Counselling).

For many years I helped train volunteers for Brighton and Hove Samaritans as well as being a listener and trustee in the local branch. Following a previous career as a Director and CEO of national charities, I run a separate business offering management and leadership training, coaching and consultancy services.
